Sexual Energy Flow
How to circulate your sexual energy
Below is a diagram you can use to visual channelling your sexual energy and some instructions based
on the technique.
First find a comfortable sitting position, either cross -egged in the lotus position or if you
prefer, sitting feet flat on the floor in a chair. Often I prefer to do it in a chair so it allows the earth
energies to flow up freely from the ground. Keep un upright position. You may prefer to have your hands clasped
together.
Focus your awareness on your navel. Start to relax and draw in deep breaths. Make the breaths in an
out of equal length. Some tantra practices tell you to push the energy up toward the top and out of your head.
For me this is a bit like wasted energy.
The aim of this type of practice is to create a circuit which circulates your energy around in a
loop, similar to a snake biting the end of its own tail end and working its way around the whole of your
upper body and head in a circular motion down through the perineum back up the spine over the top of your head
down the front part of your body through all the chakras.
You start by firstly relaxing and then simply tightening the muscles around your genitalia and
perineum as you inhale.
Visualise and feel your sexual energy flow up the back inside of the spine - up towards the
crown of your head. Then over the top of your head down downwards your third eye. Back
over your face down the front of your face, to your throat and then back down along the front of the body
in a circular motion until it reaches the the tip of your perineuam again.
The following image may help you visualise as you work your way through the different levels of the
body. I will be putting another image on here which shows exactly how the energy flows in a circular
motion. But in the meantime google microcosmic orbit images.
As you start to feel the energy flow between each point (see diagram above) before
moving onto the next centre, you may feel a sensation of "stuckness" or blockage. Each time you do that just
persevere and allow the blockage to clear itself naturally as your energy moves up or down to the next level and so
on.
You may need to practice a bit. Take as much time or as little as you can spare. The
more time you spend doing these practices the more you will feel the benefits.
Remember once you have learned how to move the energy; and allow it to flow freely
through the body to re-centre yourself by storing the energy back in the dantian (or belly) and allow it to go back
to the central navel point.
